Problems with Heretek DLC
Experienced Mechanicus player here, on my first new playthrough after acquiring Heretek.

One minor thing is that the portraits of my tech-priests keep changing; in one mission, my Magus has one face, in the next mission, he has another. But that, if annoying, is not a major concern. I am now in the first Heretek mission, chose to assault the Xenarites and to kill their leaders, and I am tasked with eliminating one specific tech-priest. However I can't select that tech-priest as a target. Neither melee nor ranged weapons work; the option to attack him is just not there. Am I being stupid or is there something really wrong here?
Écrit par Porygon:
Xenarite priests actually can have the "Untargetable" ability like the Sicarian Infiltrator. If you look close at the model it should be wreathed in blue energy - until they attack you, you can't target them. It makes them pretty challenging enemies.

Thanks a lot! Good to know it is not a bug. My neuro-vaults return relief and renewed faith in the all-knowing, infallible Omnissiah. Now let me zealously stamp out this heresy once and for all
Well, there are two pretty easy ways to deal with that:

A) Use template weapons (AoE) like flamers or plasmas (hits everything in a straight line) etc. Those damage untargetable units as usual.

B) Force an opportunity attack by passing by such enemies. It breaks the untargetable stance. Then give them hell.
It's a lot better if you are in the driver's seat and determine when HIS stance is broken instead vice-versa.

It's not like they are invulnerable or so in this stance (neither are your units with the same trait).

May the Omnissiah bless you for this comment, even though it's not written in binary

This bug isn't unique to the DLC. I've seen it twice in the base game. From what I remember, both times it was a newly recruited tech priest who had the same portrait of an old one, who was then somehow given a new unique portrait during a mission.
I have the same/similar problem, where the portrait is often improper on board the Caestus Metallican, when switching augments, previewing mission rewards, and suchlike. For me all portraits are ALWAYS correct in-mission.
