leaving proxy chat on by default

Does anybody know a way to keep proximity voice chat on either at all times or when I start talking? Hard to remember to press V every time I want to shout there's a mine here or somebody around a corner before dying.

"open mic' is not an option. For a good reason. I don't wanna hear your keyboard clacking and you breathing into the mic constantly. Push to talk is something you get used to.
Mic chat has some delay on it too, so chances are you die before you get your message across anyways.

I use my thumb button on the mouse for push to talk.

Every single enemy is gonna see your name pop up on the screen once you get close. GL HF bro.

I've made prox chat into a toggle key on my keyboard. Like TJ said, make sure you turn that ♥♥♥♥ off when you're not using it. It's way too easy to find players if you can see their mic status.

I'm much more interested in having fun than stealth.

This isn't a stealth game, but theres 127 people that know where you are if they get close.
It's like uav jammer in cod4. It gives away your position constantly.

You were complaining about him giving away his position.
Now it's all about you and your position.

Giving away your position, also gives closeby teammates away. Have the same issue with people blasting music while standing near you. It invites a lot of grenades, rockets, and bullets.

I'm saying I don't use open mic because I don't wanna give away MY position. As in, HE doesn't give away HIS position... Sorry if my sentences are hard to understand. But yeah, i don't want YOU to give away MY position. Same goes for music spammers, i can mute you. But the enemy still hears you. So muting is useless. Best to just use push to talk if you think about it.

It was funny when people were playing fortunate son in a heli at the beginning of the game for the first few games but now people think they are a radio DJ and blast the lowest quality, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ music constantly. I just report for mic spam at this point because it is so anti-team and generally comes off as trolling 9/10 times

Asking for a medic, shooting your gun, standing up, these all also give away someones position.
You cannot change the rules of hte game to ban any behaviour that might slightly inconvenience you in a game with 200+ players in the match.

If you want to avoid ever being even slightly inconvenienced then I suggest you play a single-player game.
