Creating Basic Bots that dont do much is kinda simple.
But making an engaging AI that behaves somewhat human like is very work Intensive and difficult to do.
I love Games with good Bots. What instantly comes to my mind is for example Unreal Tournament 2004 and Ravenfield. But these had a huge amount of work put into them. And BattleBit would require more than just simple AI that spawns, runs around and shoots. Bots would need to use Vehicles, use Gadgets, change Weapons according to the Situation and react to the destructable envivroment or even make use of the destruction.
Earlier Battlefield Games (Battlefield Vietnam best Battlefield ever.) also had some work put into their Bots, but you instantly see that you fight with or against Bots, and they do already kinda much, but yeah, take a look for yourself on them.
In other Words. I would love to see Bots in BattleBit and it would instantly convince me to buy the Game. But i dont want Dumb Bots.. i want Bots that are smart enough so i can play some Hours against them and not get bored or see the ever same patterns that i then would exploit.
And that is kinda difficult to do.
