BattleBit Remastered

BattleBit Remastered

I'd like an ability to play with local bots
Basically a regular Battlebit match, but all your allies and enemies are bots and it's locally processed. Why? Two reasons:

1. It will allow a proper training (as the shooting range is half-baked)
2. Would provide a way to play the game even if the servers can't be reached (whether due to no internet connection or because of maintainance).

Obviously you wouldn't be able to rank up in those bot matches (due to high potential of abuse as it would all be processed locally), but it would be better than the shooting range we have now.

They would need a dev just for NPC development.

Nah, they could do that easily. It's not like an FPS bot is a novel concept that requires years of development to invent, I bet there are even some code on the Unity Asset Store to help with that.

even tho i would love to see Bots in this Game, i have to say that i dont think proper Bots will be a thing.
Creating Basic Bots that dont do much is kinda simple.
But making an engaging AI that behaves somewhat human like is very work Intensive and difficult to do.
I love Games with good Bots. What instantly comes to my mind is for example Unreal Tournament 2004 and Ravenfield. But these had a huge amount of work put into them. And BattleBit would require more than just simple AI that spawns, runs around and shoots. Bots would need to use Vehicles, use Gadgets, change Weapons according to the Situation and react to the destructable envivroment or even make use of the destruction.
Earlier Battlefield Games (Battlefield Vietnam best Battlefield ever.) also had some work put into their Bots, but you instantly see that you fight with or against Bots, and they do already kinda much, but yeah, take a look for yourself on them.

In other Words. I would love to see Bots in BattleBit and it would instantly convince me to buy the Game. But i dont want Dumb Bots.. i want Bots that are smart enough so i can play some Hours against them and not get bored or see the ever same patterns that i then would exploit.
And that is kinda difficult to do.

It doesn't need to be human-like, just good enough. Even if the bots are stupid, you can still use them for target practice and learn how the game works (more or less) and then once you are ready for a real challenge, you can start playing online.

I also agree. I'll just admit outright that I'm not very good at PvP games like this (I also find them stressful and usually inhabited by a toxic community) but I still love these skirmish-type of Multiplayer games against AI opponents. Playing against Bots allows for a much more "chill" time and leeway to experiment with different tactics or just practice in a low-risk environment.
