It's probably better for me to say turning with precision*.
And yes if it is a shooter then a mouse has a much higher skill cap in every case. You may be good but that is fine as an exception, but we have decades of knowledge that controller users cannot keep up when the competition gets remotely fierce. There are plenty of exceptions which are not shooters but the shooter category is pretty untouchable as far as that's concerned. No controller player is coming anywhere near
How exactly do you line up a 1.5km shot while people are shooting at you and you can only peek for a second or two?
Post Void is single player and unless you are comparing yourself to others a single player experience is completely at your own pace whether it's fast or not.
Ghostrunner I've never heard of but it's also sorta unrelated because it's clearly not meant to be a first person *shooter* as its primary focus. Looks cool though.
But that may have just been since I mentioned turning, not aiming, though those go hand in hand.
Maybe try the obstacle course in the training range ingame and tell me your score @ 100% accuracy, then it becomes competitive
no it has GIGANTIC hit boxes from far ranges that's mostly why it happens it's also why sniping is so easy
There is no "playing at your own pace" in those games and that was literally my entire point in bringing them up, so nice job sticking your foot in your mouth because you don't actually want to participate in the conversation you just want to shove your opinion out there.
As for 1.5km shot you simply line up the crosshair so that when you peek it is exactly where you want it. In either case this will almost always take 2 peeks because almost no mouse user is lining up 1.5km in under 2 seconds. Have you never lined up your crosshair to be at head height before peeking before!? (are you sure you're as good as you think you are??) If you had you wouldn't have needed to ask this question...
And turning with precision on controller is just a matter of practice. One of the first things i do in every competitive FPS shooting range is pick points on the map to flick my crosshair to. I use that to dial in my stick sensitivities and deadzones. Once those tests are done I put my back to spots and practice the timings for 180 degree and 360 degree turns and practice my turning flick shots.
This is all really, really basic controller stuff, and the fact that you aren't aware of these very basic practices is exactly what I mean when I say you lack the experience to know what you are talking about. This is all stuff we've been doing since at least the Playstation 2 days. Hell in Timesplitters 3 me and my friends would make courses for this stuff and challenge each other to beat each others times.
People move around and change peek spots, they will not be in the same spot when you previously peeked. If they are, then lol at them
That's actually called aiming with wasd and is its own category of aim. Because you aren't actually using your mouse at all, you are lining it up before hand and then pressing a strafe key. That's fine, but I know exactly on the TRI24 scope where 1k meters is even with it still zeroed to 0m. It is not hard to line up very quickly, though 1.5km sometimes requires a bit of luck either way.
I know there are people who are very dedicated to their controller and that's fine, you play how you want to play.
We have entire software programs for aim training now, I have around 900 hours in one cuz I found it kinda fun. I'm not the best at aiming because I have some lasting shoulder fractures, but I am still maining a DMR right now because it is my style of play and also happens to be underpowered so no one complains.
I know I'm being a hater right now but I did not just play with friends, I played at top 1%. Even in the most optimistic sense a controller is unplayable at high elo even for a game with heroes that don't necessarily need swifty aim like Overwatch, there is just something that handicaps you by having to use it. And there are plenty of people just as dedicated who try.
It's actually one of the problems of competitive games on console, the cheaters don't need to hack they just use a mouse/keyboard emulator and play with a mouse :p
@mean peaches
no I'm just considering it however he wants to. I don't care if it has aim assist, then it depends on how the aim assist is tuned. I would still outaim OW aim assist but that fortnite aim assist controversy was wild because it made the mouse obsolete because a controller cheated for you.
I just think Roland was discussing the skill needed without Aim Assist, and I don't disagree with him there.
I've read enough drivel from controller aimbot shills, learn to aim instead, I ain't reading any more of that. Aimbot ain't never coming to this game, no matter how much anyone begs.
P.S. I originally had to put twitch in my name so I get less cheat reports (due to auto suspensions they cause), not for advertisement.
They're either under the influence of something that affects their ability to read, or they are trolling. In both cases, we can just let them sleep it off, so to speak lol
Is that even possible? I might try that
nahh he is just so good at the game that he can tell everyone to stop coping and what to do... why would he need to read what you posted he is just here to advertise
posting the same stuff in almost every thread
He does always sound very sleepy in his match videos, but he's one of the best snipers so far in the game, which may be because sniping in this game makes you fall asleep 8)
