a lot of actions are not instant or quick, try not to rush yourself
That a 5.56 to a no armor head should be a instant kill
That SMG are not as good as they seem to think either.
Those are my main issues.
I know it's 90% skill issues on my end but the drop off dmg of rifles is ridiculous as well as headshot mechanics.
my biggest issue is that even with a bolt action sniper, a little flimsy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ helmet stops my shot
If you want to take a few extra shots, and SMG someone to death, support seems nice, or at least they always win firefights against me...
Headshots are generally instakill, not always, some guns maybe not.
Meta guns do a lot of damage, I hear everyone complaining about the vector or something hella.
A lot of other stuff is a matter of practice and not running into the open, into groups of enemies.
You hide behind cover, you shoot from cover, you reload behind cover, you ♥♥♥♥ behind cover. and MOST IMPORTANT, you die behind cover so medic can revive you.
If you are not behind cover, you are dead already. They are 127 guns on the other side.
Go into the training range and make sure you can smoothly follow the bots that are moving left to right without being too jittery and in one motion (no picking up your mouse again). Then increase the time scale and do it again because usually people will be moving diagonally to you so it will be partially horizontal and partially vertical hand movement.
Then, take any weapon and put it on one shot/semi auto and shoot the moving dummy that's the last in that near range (the 150m one i think) and make sure you understand the hitreg. it's weird. you have to slightly lead shots even when it seems like you shouldn't.
go take a sniper and familiarize yourself with the bullet drop in the very long range. you can see in a more practical sense why your shots are missing with certain guns if you don't compensate for the drop. It is pretty minor but quickly adds up.
watch a decent streamer, not an amazing one, see how they play. like, don't watch robocat or surefour or someone, just find someone above average who gets a solid kdr and preferably doesn't use the vector. Watch how they play briefly, it will help a lot in creating a mental picture of why you do things, especially if they succeed where maybe you were failing. Then you can see the payoff, such as, if you flank and are confronted by two people who happened to be straggling, what do you do if you actually win that? a 1v3 or 1v4 while flanking is pretty common and you have the advantage of surprise usually. You will find your gun changes how you approach those encounters to a great degree.
don't bother sniping... if you don't know what your plan is it's just sort of stressful since any time you peek, even without a long range glint scope, someone will see you and then you have to take shots while also risking getting bopped.
most of all, don't worry about kd or score when learning. The leaderboard is a mishmash of stuff. I've had highest kills while being in the bottom half since I was playing a recon marksman type and stopping the other team flanking onto points, and not playing the objective myself. Play the objective if you're not sure what to do. If you wander around too much, you will either walk into a claymore or sweaty boi #377 who is going across the map on an atv so he can get a 15 killstreak on your snipers
wait this thread is a necro too. wtf
