Cheating is out of control

They need to push the new AC or something because lately I've just been spectating top fraggers and more than half of the games look fishy as they track people through walls or constantly flick their sight line onto targets and insta kill them.

yup game is plagued with cheaters. In all my years on PC gaming I don't think I've seen a game with more cheaters than this game. Everyone I know has stopped playing until they get the cheating problem fixed. I only play once in awhile, do some sniping and quit the match before it's even finished. Just tired of dealing with blatant cheating. Getting 1 shot from across the map with a pistol or SMG is not fun or fair.

Actually now that I think about it, Ark Survival Evolved was also plagued with cheaters to an extreme degree.

Yall are doing amazing, Just some folks outright deny there are cheaters at all, and its nauseating.

The game is great, don't get too stressed.

How are cheaters actually being banned though? Is it just the account of the player being banned or are you also IP banning them?

IP bans don't work anymore, as VPN is an instant Spoof.
Banning accounts is more or less the only way, as yes, you can get rid of 99% of cheaters by mac banning them on Tuesday, but by Friday, they have all learned how to spoof mac addresses.

its a learning battle, and folks learn fast.

Mac address is the hardware ID.

I noticed the past couple of days the game has not been a very fun experience. I guess just take a break and play something else until a full release with anti-cheat.

I don't think its cheaters, I think its much worse. They are bots. Over half the "players" in this game are bots. This is being used to justify faceit which is PURE MALWARE if you look into it.

If its too good to be true, it usually is

Two years ago, Activision shut down a Bot ring that was targeted at playing their game.

So while possible, I highly doubt there is a conspiracy, folks just don't put forth that kind of effort, on top of all the other effort they are already putting in.

If something sounds to good to be true, and then some, it isn't real.

Kids being too lazy to play games and get good, and trolls, is much much more common and requires far less effort.

I feel like that's only the overly obvious ones though. So many walls/esp and recoil macros don't seem to be getting banned.

I feel like the people calling Riot's anticheat and faceit anti cheat malware are just closet cheaters at this point. Unless we can stream games low latency from the cloud we need more invasive anti cheats because it's so easy to cheat in general. Without forcing TPM and secureboot cheats will not be stopped. I've watched fps cheats go from rare to extremely common in under 10 years. A 1 Gig SSD is less than $120. Buy one and run one as your gaming OS and other for personal.

Thats amazing, thanks for the link. While I agree unlikely, the magnitude in which its happening in this game is incomparable to anything I've seen in 30 years of online gaming. There are always cheaters, but not this many. It just doesn't fit the way gamers behave en mass.

Meanwhile, the AI software for this does exist and gets better by the day. It doesn't even have to be from these DEVs, they could be hiring an AI company to raise their player counts, or it could be another party entirely like microsoft, google, or epic training their AI's. This phenomenon is also not limited to battlebit as of lately. Somehow I don't think millions of kids across the gaming world decided to start using aimbots with instant proficiency

Could be but also with the explosion of discord its made it much easier for cheaters to grow communities and advertise. The growth of twitch and competitive gaming in general has fueld " humanized" cheating so a player can look cracked but still legit. People build whole social circles around being a good gamer. I remember a CSGO cheating vid where a guy got into some of the discords and they had thousands of monthly subscribers.

That's good to know. Nothing kills an FPS game faster than cheaters. Hopefully you guys are doing MAC address bans because IP bans don't work and we don't want these cheaters just getting another stolen game key and cheating again.
