Are you serious? Or are you extremely new to "gaming" in general? It should be really straight forward if you launched up the game...
How to host a game:
1) Launch up the game.
2) Click "Play" in the main menu
3) Click "Host Game"
4) Select "Open" so it's considered a multiplayer game not solo.
5) After selecting "Open" you can type in a password for your server if you want it. (Make sure you have a server name, choose the difficulty you want etc...)
How to join a game:
1) Launch up the game.
2) Click on "Connect"
3) Browse the Lobby until you find a game you want to connect to or use the search bar to find a specific "server name" faster. Then join it.
I'm sure you could also connect through the "steam friend's" tab. Where you click on the down arrow beside your friend's name in the friend's steam overlay. Then select "Join game"
Nevermind I think I'm sure I know why you're asking that question... And I'm not going to go into details. All I'm going to say is: the method listed above will most likely not work for you...
