Fall damage will be rebalanced in the next patch.
We are thinking of adding some recipes as a reward for repairing a crafting station, so you instantly have something to craft on it.
Closest area is the closest monolith you repaired , you would prefer to spawn 100 meters away from your death ? Also you can respawn in Oasiss if you choose Base.
Online coop has scaling health of monsters, but we are looking into other ways to make enemies stronger against groups of players.
You ask for more challenge and automatic guns in one message....Infinite bow and arrows goes to the easy mode too, it will make most enemies trivial( you go on a high ground, or hind behind objects and kill practically anything) it won't be added.
Drops from human enemies might be changed in the future, special broken variants of their equipment which are less powerful then crafted by a player.
There will be improvements to the combat , two handed weapons may appear .
Bigger enemies is something we all really want to add , there are bosses planned in the game, also we want to add something really big but we need time to implement it right and not like big dinos in Ark for example.
We had more scares but they were not looking great so we removed them a week before the release, we have decided to make a better version and it will take some time .
Just an FYI, I use sysinternals process explorer to replace the standard windows task manager. So I'm not sure if you will see the same processes with the default windows task manager...
That said it is a very quick download and way more powerful task manager.
If you look at the processes, you will see sh.exe & sh-win64-shipping.exe...
Right click on the sh-win64-shipping.exe and select restart. Thats it!
What happens is that it will restart the game without the sh.exe. Not exactly sure what sh.exe does but it seems to be a major factor in the freeze/crashes.
As an example, prior to killing sh.exe I would freeze while:
-crafting
-walking
-running
-sometimes just looking in inventory scrapping items
After restarting the sh-win64-shipping.exe; the game runs 90% smoother with little to no crashes and acceptable fps drops.
Also @OP
-I have played this game for quite some time and still have not found a backback or found the blueprint to craft one
I have found backpack recipe just North of Oasis... in fact all of the good recipes found were in the north. Not sure if RNG or what but thats where I got mine from...
- I don't see any point to what you said about food or water either, since 25% for normal food is fine (4 meals a day) and the merchant sells apple juice and chocolate which you can turn into a 33% water drink.
- Would also like to see some change to the merchant stock from time to time, selling more than only one of every kind of item too.
- Instead of making the spawns of food more rare, they could increase the spawn timers on everything so that it's 2 times the normal value or something, right now it's too fast. (when you go to loot a big location, by the time you are done, enemies at the entrance have spawned already)
- - - They said they are thinking of implementing a custom dificulty so that we might be able to tune that ourselves, I wouldn't worry that much about that at the moment.
- Agreed that enemies are too easy, you can just stun them everytime you swing, killing them one at a time by just attacking and backing off and repeating untill everyone is dead.
- Enemies are like literally blind if you are crouched (xD) I took some screenshots like 3/4 meters away from enemies and they can't see me, the AI awareness should be improved. I was also carrying 200 Kg of gear so I don't see the noise factor doing anything.
- We really shouldn't be allowed to carry over 5 times the 40 Kg limit with the only downside of not being able to run, there should be another limit at like 80+- Kg when you could not move/jump, being slowed down by like 12.5% for every extra 5Kg [12.5*(40extraKg/5Kg)=100% - can't move]. My guy complains about possibly breaking his back all the time xD
The shop will be upgraded.
There was a bug with AI vision.
If we change the debuff for overburden it will be met with a lot of hostility ) You can decide for yourself what is the max limit you want to play with. Also we don't want to make people go back to the Oasis every 20 minutes, when we introduce other safezones it may be changed.
All i read is, make the game harder. :( I'm not sure anymore if i should buy the game if the game gets harder. I have watched gameplay videos and from the difficulty it looks like a game for me. If this is going to be like just another hardcore survival crafting game i'm out. I hope you devs can keep the normal difficulty for normal users, tweak the hard mode or add a nitemare mode for the masochists. :D
Oh, that's cool. :) Good to know.
