Selling Stocks
Ok so I bought some stocks in a competitor for around 1m, they are now worth 2m so I would like to sell some. But can't see how to do it.

Are you supposed to be able to sell them? if not what is the point in buying them? I suppose I just thought it would be like Railroad Tycoon where you could not only take over over companies, buy you could make some money on the side by playing the stock market with your spare cash.

You can't sell them, but other AIs can buy them off you at a huge profit. It's an investment for the future!

ok lol, I am really enjoying the game so far, brings back fond memories of railroad tycoon, a-train and transport tycoon :)

But something you can't do in those games is that when you buy them out, you gain access to their tech tree and buildings :)

Wow taking their tech tree sounds like a great way to trade excess cash for time. Could leapfrog right up to a new high-tier production chain!

Yup, you can unlock T3 stuff without spending a single dollar in R&D! Yay for corporate espionage and hostile takeovers!

so....is this out of date? or is it a bug? I can click on a stock I own to sell it (in another company).
So I can buy 10% of company A and sell it a second later. BTW, because I bought it, the price went up. Therefore, clicking on a competitors stock a dozen times give me 10M free $....seems like an obvious exploit.

It is an exploit. Fixed in the newest patch, coming today or tomorrow

HOw did you buy stock from competitors? The assistant says to buy 1 stock but I can't figure out how.

In the top right you see a horizontal line. If you click it, all the companies pop up beneath it. You are the top one. Click one of the others. More information on that company pops up, including a line that says stocks. Click one of the boxes.
