Can't change resolution and can't do anything at the main menu.
I changed the resolution to the highest one and while it looks fine I can only chose the first two choices at the main menus, anything else below like Load Game or Options the mouse simply will not go lower on the screen to reach. Thus I cannot change resolution in the options menu. How can I change settings without being in the game?

You can use the console to change the resolution inside the game. Open it with ~ or F1. Type in "setres 1920x1080" or whatever resolution you want to use, and press enter. You can also use "scale set FullscreenWindowed true" or "scale set FullscreenWindowed false" to change the windowed mode.

From outside the game you can edit RPGTacOptions.ini. The setting you'll want to change is SelectedResolutionIndex. Take a look at the AvailableResolutionsList and count (starting with 0) down the list until you get to the resolution you want and enter that number as your SelectedResolutionIndex.

Sorry about the resolution problem. So the game looks OK at the highest resolution, but the mouse won't move outside a certain boundary? I'll take a look at that.

I'm just trying to track down what might be causing this issue. Do you have a 4k monitor? Or did you set the resolution to 4096x2160 on a 1920x1080 monitor?

The console command line fixed it and all is good, I'm in a weird/good situation in that my "monitor" is my Samsung HDTV and usually it works but my PC itself doesn't always calculate things correctly lol! I still get good fullscreen now!

It's still the same. My oled tv is 3840x2160. Even if I load the game and type "setres 3840x2160" in the console, the mouse can't go everywhere in the screen. And even if you fix that, we will need a UI scale option because characters are too small.

I'll try to figure this out. I think this problem started when I added the option to play in windowed mode. Strangely, I've heard reports that the mouse works in windowed mode. Can you try "scale set FullscreenWindowed false" for now? Or if you don't want to play the game windowed then you can use "setres 1920x1080". I'll take another look at the window/full-screen switching code and I'll see if I can figure this out.

Also, can you tell me which parts of the UI are too small? The menus should stretch as you increase resolution. Dynamically created elements, like damage popups and quests, I need to scale manually. But I need to know which elements are too small. Thanks.

For the UI, when you are in the map, mission.

Edit : Also, there is no red hexagon when you can attack in the desert map.

i am also having this trouble
Is your Windows resolution not 100%? Reset to 100% if you have adjusted it.. worked for me

I had this problem even now (7/12/2022). I also found the issue and fix. Setting your Windows Display Scale (the setting in windows resolution options that changes the size of your taskbar and app icons) to anything other than 100% will screw up the resolution in game.
