DLC 2 continues the main ending (where you kill the twins) but DLC 2 only takes place in Limbo and DLC 3 picks up there, you waking up.
Well as Handsomeless King says, you can play the third DLC normally
i saw the third DLC is sequence of second DLC, i though it was sequence of first DLC but problaby not
it's prequel, the story continues after ending of second DLC tapped in limbo when you are totally out from that and that's it, the story will continue other way.
i'm like you, i dont buy the second DLC neither but i look gameplay and the ending part from that DLC tapped in limbo, the ending part is that protagonist found the ballerina twin and on third DLC the ballerina twin transmit her brain to his hand so that's like the story continues
it is the continuation of game's base when you choice for fight against ballerina twins and sechenov, then it ends charles betraying you and becoming a monster form - something like that during the main ending of Atomic Heart base game
that's it.
