256gb update?

Why do i need 256gb of free space for this update?
is something wrong with my game or what?

looks like for some weird reason it wants to install a second copy of the whole game again.
I'm going to have to uninstall and reinstall everything.

Got home today only to find out that it wants to download the DLC 3 that I did not even buy yet. Why do I need to download it if I don't want to even buy it yet?!

Because it changes files and might change files that are used in base game. So you need to download it. Pretty sure every game does that.

There's no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason that any game update should be 100+ gigs. This is insane.

Yes, this is the reason. The game's files are packed into "pak" files and it's most likely that the developers made some changes to the base game to make the DLC3.
Even a slight modification to one of those files and the whole "pak" must be downloaded again.
Looks like all the pak files were modified
