Notice how they passively-aggressively try to shame you in the public forum with lines such as "your PC/bad PC/potato PC" etc. Communist playbook 101. They're a highly suspect bunch.
Edit:
Hold on a second
To get into this forum, you need to access the store page of this game first, this seem to be your first post in this thread as well.
So you're either thanking the wrong guy or you have something else in mind, regardless that's not the credit i want to take
Malware? Where is it harmful? It is the opposite: protection against piracy. Good games like Atomic Heart need protection. It's funny to hear that Denuvo is malware
Nevertheless, the day when denuvo gets removed will be the day I will gladly purchase it. I bought Lords of the Fallen instead, with no denuvo of course.
Late to this forum... You just got to laugh at all the people that say we don't want denuvo so we can pirate them (but we are here on steam buying games). They don't even know or cant comprehend what it even is. So they have to go on the attack and suck off the companies that put it in the game.
Also its not just malware. It is also spy ware now. But to that end everything you have on your phone is the same. All apps are spyware/malware.
Because of this I refuse to even install a game that has Denuvo, I can spend my time and money better on games that play better on my limited hardware like Dying Light 2 and even RoboCop: Rogue City… Hell even 40k Darktide performance is better than Atomic Heart and ALL my games are legitimately purchased.
next you'll tell me doom 1993 runs better than doom eternal
Dying Light 2 is infested with EOS(Epic Online Services) malware/spyware(majority owned by China), while Robocop has one of the worst publishers when it comes to censorship(Nacon) while Darktide used to use EAC(serious malware/spyware) and currently uses EOS while also being majority owned by China.
Good to look out for any such red flags. It's not always purely about performance drops either. There are plenty of games to play/buy that don't include any crap. I would also advise using the firewall to block everything by default(third-party solutions can be more user-friendly).
Aside from the fact that they shouldn't have added it in the first place, yeah. Anyone who don't have a problem with that PoS have already bought the game, so they could sell a few more to those who don't buy games that have it.
I'm waiting for the devs to make that obvious decision, as well.
