So.. The ray tracing..
Has anyone tested it yet?

How's it look, how does it perform?

On my machine it performs very poorly,a lot of severe frame drops and stutters.
It looks good though..
The only downside i noticed is that your character just like Cyberpunk is not reflected on surfaces.

Damn, what are your specs?

It doesn't stutter for me, but it doesn't run well ofc, especially since we cant even use upscaling and have to manually go to fullscreen and knock down the resolution

I get 10-30 fps 1440p in the open world, and 30-55 when indoors.

4090/I9 13900K/32GB DDR5 7200MHZ and the game is on a gen4 m.2..
I tried it on a my second machine which has a 4080/i9 12900k 32GB DDR5 5600MHZ gen 4 m.2 and the stutter is more controlled there because my monitor on this system has a native gsync module that helps.

Ouch, I was hoping it will be available on gamepass, looks like I'll wither have to wait or purchase on steam.

Damn, similar specs to me although I'm on AMD.

I might wait until there's some optimisation.

Save for stuttering, I'm not getting any framerate issues. Playing the intro and getting in the elevator, there is still screen spaced reflections all around. Reflections (dis)appear when looking around as it was happening when exiting out of the building too.

I found it strange for a patch to include RT, the patch was merely 2GB. More strange that this was quietly announced and MF didn't even say what kind of implementation there is. Leaked build had two separate options for reflections and shadows being on/off.

My initial impressions are not great, and I already had low expectations. 1 year and 3 months just for reflections?

Damn, I'm going to try it later on game pass (if the update is is available) and take a look.

Kind of crazy how RT has been treated by the developers of this game as it was basically the Nvidia poster child for rtx right up to release and then... Nothing 🤷‍♂️

it's a mess of stuttering man, 14900KS + DDR5 + RTX 4090 XOC here, been testing it and the same'all Unreal Engine + Raytracing issue on games, no wonder why they promised it at launch and just now they added it...

It's not too crazy from what I've tested. No stutters on my end. Problem I have is that it's only RTAO and RT Reflections. The lack of GI seems odd to me. Also reflections don't seem denoised. I'm in the underground area with the giant plant monster and all reflective surfaces have white specs all over them.

Edit: Seems DLSS is mandatory to denoise the RT. Running native res on Quality RT won't cut it. Kind of a bummer, but the extra 10FPS isn't bad. Basically Quality RT gave me 90fps at native resolution, and 102fps at Quality DLSS with Quality RT. All FPS are while in a bunker, and on a 14900kf/4090

Most of the reflections are using RT from what I can tell. The elevator itself as it goes down uses screenspace, but the chairs in the elevator use RT. Also, the great hall that you enter is also using RT and not screenspace. It does look quite a bit better than with the regular SS reflections.

It definitely doesn't have RT shadows, which is a bummer. Seems like only most reflections, which is a step up since the SS was quite ugly, at least.

That's some in depth benchmarking, thank you.
No stuttering for me at all. Maybe others are still installing shades, or not SSD in options.
Specs:
RTX 4090/ Ryzen 7 7800X3D/ 64GB/ SSD/ win 11.
2160p (4k) res
Settings maxed out, with DOF off and MB.
All DLSS and FFSR off.

Only tested open areas.
Sadly, only getting around 45-55 FPS with RT Quality/ RT Performance 50 - 65 FPS. Does get better if you mess around with DLSS options.
The sad news is you get no water reflections, from anything moving.
You sacrifice a lot of FPS for not even full RT features. Hopefully this BETA will get better.

finally tray racing! I'll be only able to test during the weekend :/
