Sure ?
Will I at least be able to play the dlc on gamepass if I buy it , without having to buy the base game ?
The clownaward was not from me by the way ;)
Never tried to buy dlcs for a game I don't own tho lol
Even if I have the base game on gamepass and buy the dlc ?
Yeah and my question is....as long as I rent it with an active gamepass, will I be able to play the DLC if I buy the DLC on gamepass.
Im not even sure if the dlc wont be on gamepass in a free form anyway.
Do you have any actual Knowledge or proof that it wont, or is it just your inner feeling ?
I mean could definitely be true that you have to pay for it, because the The Ascent dlc seems to be also not free on gamepass, maybe its a general thing that Microsoft does only make deals with the studios for the base games.
dead island 2 isn't on game pass
Been on gamepass for a while. I've yet to encounter a game that offers its DLC without actually purchasing the game and associated DLC. In other words - No.
Thx for the info.
Its weird that they dont, because they would make more money doing so.
Nobody is buying the entire game including dlc just to play the dlc after playing the base game already on gamepass. But a lot of people who played the base game on gamepass would actually buy the dlc if they could play it.
It makes perfect sense to not publish the game on gamepass and sell it on steam instead.
I agree to that.
But it makes zero sense to make a deal with microsoft to publish it on gamepass, but then not allow people who played it on gamepass to buy the dlc and play it.
You actually can buy DLCs for gamepass games without purchasing the base game. Only problem is that once the game leaves game pass you're stuck with unusable DLC until you either buy the full game or it comes back on to gamepass
