Finished the DLC
I have no clue what tf the plot of this game is at this point, legitimately makes no sense and this dlc made less sense than the base game. Seems like they combined the two ending for this but mainly went with the P3 turns his back ending. Also felt like they rushed the ending for how janky the plot gets at the end.

On a positive I like the linear nature of it and how all the garbage stuff gameplay wise of the base game isn't really in the dlc. Negatives I have other than plot confusion is the annoying super rooms made just to get skill points. Also the fact that you fight the same boss twice, once at the mid point and then as the final boss (mad lazy).

I guess its not a bad dlc but it's also seemingly kinda pointless due to it not picking the ending that made sense.

I think the ending where P3 rips saharow out of the glowe and walks away is the cannon since other wise twins woult be dead since in ending 1 you snuff them out and kill the boss. But how P3 got to the other part of the complex yeagh thats a mystery.

the dlc was solid. i really loved this game. the final boss fight tho was actually challenging and required some brain power. 10/10 imo with story and gameplay. it was really engaging and did everything right. compared to other games' dlcs ive played, this one stands out to me!

Annihilation Instinct follows the ending where Nechyaev ripped Zakharov out of his glove. We know this because Sechenov is still alive.

All P3 did was rip out the wires in the first ending but that's not Charles, he's supposed to be silver goo. How can homie be dead if hes a separate part of the internal glove/P3's hand??

Man nvm why am I even trying to understand the garbage tier plot.
Also did they use AI art for the into cinematic?

how do you think the wires move around? the goo is inside of the wires when its out of the glove when they are inside of it the goo is stored in the symbol. so when p3 ripped the wires out he ripped charles out and thats why we have a very limited amount of polymer powers as the one we get in the dlc is the ones that came / what it can handle with the new wires

From what I gather the goo (Charles) essentially just acts like the rat in ratatouille so ripping out the wires should do anything to Charles at all since they should technically be two separate entities.

When we start breaking this stuff down the plot just gets dumber and dumber.

Yes, base game ending snapshots, DLC intro, personnel photos in every PC, Kollective videos in the hallways, they're all AI generated.

This DLC explores the 'walk away' ending from the base game. Doesn't mean it's canon.

Not all. For instance in the DLC intro sequence at the end there is a portrait of Anita Pudikova. Performance capture actress for the twins: https://i.imgur.com/NUQfH3E.png and face model for Ekaterina Nechayeva.

Maybe it's less a "game over" than the other ending when you think about it since
Charles in the wild with jellyman body
Sechenov's dead
No more leader = a mess
No kollectiv 2.0 = no atomic heart
Twins destroyed
Us unknown beside that our mind is in limbo with our wife, or her "mind tear" maybe our body's dead, eaten by Charles, in a coma or idk

While with this ending and the dlc
We still learn the truth about the twins but they're not destroyed (they help us actually so that's nice)
We're still alive and fresh
We deal with Nora for good, we also know she was the one playing with the dummies everywhere in the base game
We meet a new weird goose... who may be related to Charles

Baba Zina became insufferable like Filatova tho, aha... shes even following us to make our life hell in the end... "WOMEN" :summer2019horn:

We also learnt something really frightening.
They made some Tereshkova prototypes with real looking human hairs instead of their hair sponge.
Next dlc has three possible plot options

1. You fight grandma and she dies, random continuation.

2. You fight grandma and nobody cares but Charles is alive because he goo not dumb wires.

3. You fight grandma and she lives, you both go to fight Sechenov and the twins in dlc 3 and end up only fighting to twins to search for Sechenov and kill him in dlc 4.

SECRET FOURTH PLOT

4. You fight grandma (its inevitable) and she lives/dies its doesn't matter but its discovered that the Russians hid a time travel project. You get two option (your choice doesn't matter just like dlc 1) go back in time and pick base game ending 2 or just walk away and destroy the time machine. Option 1 is the only answer so dlc 3 and 4 are for base game ending 2 so yeah...

NOTE: The grandma fight has her inside the house which turns into a mech.

Just finished it and I liked it. Environments and atmosphere are on point, and I also like the little weird things in it like the talking goose and the "babushka" appearing in key parts, it adds to the whole crazy stuff that is happening all around. I like to play games even while things don't make any sense at all, yet remember that some of this stuff, or maybe all, might be happening in our heads. (it reminds me a little bit of what happened with the ending of the DLC from Callisto Protocol as well, for those who played it)
