Mundfish is already planning a sequel to Atomic Heart

Journalist and blogger Aleksey Makarenkov released a new video in which he said that he talked with the developers of Atomic Heart and was able to get a comment from them regarding the sales of the game and some information about the studio's future plans.

The developers replied that they were not ready to share information about sales now, but they were already preparing a "mass news story" on this topic.

At the moment, the developers are busy with the previously planned four DLC. In addition, according to him, the studio has confirmed that it is already planning a second Atomic Heart, and with a very high probability a sequel will take place.

Makarenkov also learned from two of his trusted VK Play sources that sales of the game through the Russian platform "by a good margin" recouped the cost of how much VK spent on rights and promotion. He notes that these sources must have access to such data, so information with a large share of information may be correct.

They confirmed Atomic Heart 2 almost two years ago after E3 2021 trailer in Q&A discord server. Also in one interview from February Bagratuni said they already working on the new titles.

Excellent, hope it happens. Atomic Heart is already a diamond in the rough and a sequel could iron out the minor flaws of the 1st game and be a truly epic gaming experience.
