The game is way too dark

I've cranked my brightness setting all the way to the maximum of 2. But the interiors still look extremely dark. Is anyone else having this problem?

Nope. Game looks fine for me. And I have terrible vision. Then again, I'm using a 65" 4K/UHD/HDR enabled TV set to "gaming" mode which mitigates a lot of brightness issues I might have for games.

Looks good to me, but just the opposite maybe alittle to bright to me.

I don't get it why there is no flashlight in the game. That would solve the problem.

This game has no hdr support at all and it is indeed way to dark. I have even tested it on my LG Oled and pumped the fine tune dark areas settings to max. The blacks are not as crushed anymore, but it somehow still is to dark overall and the contrast gets much worse. Something with the gamma curve of this game is very bad and broken and we have not way to adjust it. Shame.

even though just ,because one is not having a problem that does not mean the other with a different monitor will not however what concerns me, I am on C49RG9 and I have no issues on default, yet I have properly set my monitor settings on the monitor itself, perhaps you should check that.

I am also mystified by the idea that this game is too dark, and I keep my brightness on the lower end. Different monitors will inherently give very different pictures though so maybe devs should include more picture customization so people can fine tune it.

After changing you brightness setting try rebuilding the shader cache. Maybe that might help. (You can do this by turning shader cache off in settings, restarting the game, turning it back on, and restarting again.)

Hope that helps! (I don’t have this issue, but I turned my brightness up before I even started the game, so I suspect that could be the difference.)

РЕШЕНИЕ! Друзья, скидываю наглядное решение проблемы - запилил видео, так тоже несколько дней мучался - все перепробовал, и настройки менял на минимум/максимум и DLSS включал/выключал, и целостность файлов проверял - бесполезно. Даже игру на несколько дней забросил, потом снова попробовал и та же фигня. Не думал, что данный глюк в игре так просто решается.
