Frosbite Skill = No Loot?

Has anyone else noticed how if you use the Frostbite ability and kill an enemy with a melee weapon, you don't receive any loot? Even with the Careful Disassembly skill unlocked that is supposed to grant "receive increased loot when defeating a frozen enemy" doesn't appear to help either.

I mean I think it's a fair tradeoff, you're freezing them much longer and conserving a lot of ammo. Getting the loot for doing less than nothing seems like too much.

I would say Yes it is a bug. If you look further into the Frostbite tree you'll see it gives a perk that awards more loot for killing frozen enemies. Even with this perk the enemy is generally POOFed and no loot left behind.

Frostbite, the frozen canister for the weapon attachments and the rail gun will all leave no bodies to loot. its a bug, i hope they patch it soon.

The rail gun is great for boss's/mini boss's but regular guys it's just a waste, you can kill a bunch of enemy's in a line but that whole line just vanishes.

lol that's a bug? I thought the rail gun is simply too powerful it blows the enemy into void on purpose.
Rail gun isn't that fun. No upgrade, shoot slowly, and drain energy too fast.

It might be a bug but I thought this is how the ice powers work in bioshock as well. If you shatter a frozen enemy they don't drop anything to discourage cheap tactics. I think frozen enemies also take less damage

Only thing I have yet to try is see if slowed enemies with ice on them but not totally frozen gives more loot with the skill. Otherwise it seems like a very big bug on release.

Can confirm, if you slow the enemies down instead of freezing them completely you do get the loot. Still annoying as hell though, because the cartridges ALSO completely freeze the enemy. So you have to either wait until they thaw, or just lose out on loot. :/
