Med Unit upgrade

I'm trying to get the med unit upgrade. It's required to increase my health.

It says 'element unavailable' how do you unlock this upgrade? Is it story related or found somewhere?

I have everything up until that point, I'm asking how to specifically upgrade med unit. because it won't let me upgrade muscle head without med unit.

Probably a bug or you dont have enough upgrade points, all the skills are accessible from the beginning. The weapon and parts were the only thing you have to find in game.

I see now, I kept thinking it was locked for story reasons. but you are right, the adjescent skill was indeed NOT unlocked.
