Not getting the "Kill Belyash with a melee weapon" achievement

Got it to critical health with Fat Boy, proceeds to melee it to death with the Zvezdochka, did not get the achievement. Retried multiple times, also tried not inflicting elemental damage, ensuring my melee weapon got the kill, still no achievement. Any resolution?

oof nevermind, turns out I needed to do a pure melee run, got the achievement after only using the Zvezdochka and nothing else, thanks for replying this thread thou

You have to use only melee, no other weapons!

additionally, a tip, bonk his head with the axe downward attack, i literally just got the achievement now, it does extra dmg

Look, sidenote to ALL gamers, there are some serious achievement malfunctions, too, just make sure to consider it.

I have used only the saw melee no special skills no guns in inv at all
and still no cheev pops for this..

Edit: it took me to walk over to the elevator before it popped.
just try that anyone who is having issue, it didnt happen right after killing B man, but rather 100 feet away in steps
