The anti-gun lobby makes the same flawed argument with the AWB, claiming it "Saved Lives" Because homicides went down after the AWB, ignoring the fact that, even with the massive Homicide surge in the 90's, rates were trending downwards both in America and Globally.
Nah, ♥♥♥♥ pirates. We have the problems we do because people are scummy thieves that don't want to pay. And so the rest of us suffer for it.
The game is $60 and has reviews up and Steam has a 2 hour refund window in case it doesn't work out. You pirate ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ have zero moral ground to stand on other than being a dirtbag.
denuvo needs to be annoying enough for people who could afford game but wouldn't buy and it basically does dat. How much it translate to money who knows but if i doubt some kids in forums will do better estimate is it worth it vs publishers who actually making money
Piracy's effect on profits and revenue is an imaginary thing. This was the entire cornerstone of Steam. "Piracy isn't a pricing issue, it's a service issue." - Glabe Noodle. If people are stealing your game (And piracy is theft) in significant numbers, it's a certainty that there's an underlying issue wholly separate from the question of finances.
Anyone with such little impulse control to the point that they would steal the game, if not for the 3 or 4 days Denuvo stops cracks from appearing, do not have the impulse control to figure out the process that would be involved in stealing the game.
The argument isn't that it's slowing OP's PC down, the argument is that it's malicious software they don't want on their PC. Which is exactly what denuvo is.
It is an extra layer of software that is now unnecessary.
its rarely 3 or 4 days with todays drm's end even if things are cracked its all about inconvenient pirating
its same thing as putting luck on doors sure its never 100% unlockable but still you want it there
