- Vavilov metal over chirper issue
- map issue
Does anyone know how many chirpers are there 71 or 73 ?
The game still does not count chatty corpses
You can not go back to entire map to collect things . Nothing like spending 5 days looking for collectibles that are not counted or bugged .
Play entire game over and over not to collect things because of bugs ?
windows 10 ; RTX3080; Ryzen 7 3700X; 32gb DDR4; Steam version of the game, on SSD
issues :
Game was running like a charm until I got to the farms and fields before the theatre (a bit before the submarine)... Since then:
1.unreachable loot: items don't come out of containers anymore., or they come one by one, VERY slowly. their actual position seem to be lower than intended (below drawers, etc...) and therefore stuck in
2. game slowing down a lot, with enemies almost slowed to a halt, even though I can sometimes move normally at the same time
3. MOST IMPORTANT: game stuttering in some areas to a point I'm stuck and can't continue: zooming in for locks takes about 30 sec to 1mn, so timed locks are impossible to open. I'm therefore stuck in the theatre, unable to continue the story :/
I also noticed the game sometimes peaks in GPU and CPU usage. It happened first time around the submarine, the load was suddenly through the roof. It dropped when I went in the inventory or crafting menus, but got up again as soon as got out.
steps before having the issue :
I left the game chose the settings and did not modify anything, like I said it worked like a charm during the first part.
I tried changing a few things (lowering overall quality, activating and deactivating V-Sync, switching from windowed to fullscreen...) but it had no impact, problems are still here
how long was your session before having the issue
I'd say 3 to 4 hours... But I tried leaving and restarting the game, the problems were still here. Loading today, after a day without playing, and I still can't progress because of the game stuttering to a halt
did you put specific settings that may have caused the issue (V Sync, etc.)
The issues appeared without changing anything; the game was working perfectly with the default settings and it seemed to suddenly break down on its own. It almost feels like the first part of the game is finished and polished, but second part is still rough...
does it happen every time or did it happened once
My game is stuck because of this, so I'd say it happens all the time
EDIT: I updated my RTX3080 drivers, and now it's even worse...
I don't know what to do at this point. Shame, I was really having a blast playing that game.
EDIT pt2: my problems seem to have appeared after the march 10th patch. I didn't pay attention to that update date, but before that day I didn't have any problems...
Eleanora; skill cartoons not playing for any skill or weapon upgrades.
Not using vsync. Maxed out textures (Atomic setting). Resolution 2560x1440. DSLS doesn't seem to have an effect on in game videos.
Happened with the previous patch as well.
Could it be due to K-lite Mega Codec pack?
Problem is with following step in the walk through which seems to acknowledge some issue that probably has to do with what I am experiencing:
"look towards the construction site and use telekinesis on the candle. Once you have it, the building will begin to move. Once it's stopped, you'll want to drop down to the wooden plank below you. Now, this next bit is crucial. We'll need to drop the candle to proceed, but don't drop the candle until you're ready to go. In what seems to be a bug, the game will instantly teleport the candle back to its original position if it falls into the water. That position is in the podium we just removed it from. Considering dropping the candle on top of the building will cause it to roll into the water, that means you're going to have leap from the building before the candle can reset."
the problem is that I was never able to put the candle back in the first holder, after I saved the game in near by room, the building was near the first platform which my understanding it should have not been until the candle is placed back. Its all screwed up.
it's right before update

DX DIAG is flawless btw...
All dependencies/redistributables install.
No devices tagged not working properly.
No corrupt system files...
Nothing in the event viewer beyond system shutdown unexpectedly.
Not one bsod...
Just total shutdown... Like instant power off.
I have updated and tested every possible driver combo. Chipset/Bios/CPU/GPU etc etc etc.
I have checked/validated files countless times.
I've cleared out the countless failed shader installs.
Tried the experience optimization thing.
Dialed it back.
Nothing works... Nothing...
Best attempt at success was disabled dlss.
Steam launched with -dx11
4k res then set everything down to medium on 1080. Borderless window didn't help....
Furthest I got was 3 seconds into the boat ride on DX 11...
And 20% installing shaders on DX 12 (typically 6 percent max)...
I'm at a total loss here...
If any one has any realistic suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it...
Maybe fix your code for the initial game before working on the sequel...
I'm trying really hard not to be a jerk, I've log 3 hours of game play 4 seconds at a time in the settings menu... When I even get that far...
That is pure hell of OCD gamers... Please focuse harder on fixing these sort before the next title release...
I was so very looking forward to playing this... Got so hyped up just to let down so hard...
This is literally the only game giving me serious problems. Little things here and there but nothing hard to fix or even remotely close to this level of problems.
Story related achievements still don't unlock, last one that unlocked properly is "Medical Checkup".
After the last update I reloaded my save into the Pavlov, but progressing the story the game still doesn't unlock "Freedom Reflex" and "Dew Point".
I found out afterwards on YouTube that these were supposed to be a cutscene and the end credits.
I'm playing on a Steam Deck; is there a fix for this or will I need to wait for a patch/update?
