Edit: You can get the movement speed upgrade early on though. Doom games for example don't have sprint. You get used to it, it's not really necessary for this title.
I also recall sprinting at the game start. That's probably why I remember being so put off when suddenly my sprint just resulted in one dash. Just one of the many minor oversights in terms of good game design.
Stealth may be there but theres nothing stealthy about this game to be honest. No stealth skills so I just zoom everywhere
