Problem throwing objects

Currently im playing a test area and i have to throw those yellos balls to prgoress but i cant do it neither with kb/m nor with controller. Any idea of how to solve this?

You have to pick it up, and then press and hold F again to throw

Reload game/area, had same problem.

Because i know someone is going to be here some day. Grab the balls, and whip your mouse up and release near the grips. If you aim it right, it will go in. Save point right after

have the same problem. reloading didn't help. throw worked fine in previous area

update: found why: both times I've unsuccesfully tried to grab energy ball from previous area, and somehow it prevented me from throwing another object. Did it succefully and had no more problem
