It does get a bit annoying though to not have at least a little bit to chill. you can't even loot the enemies you killed before they're already back to rez the larger enemies.
After 3-4 waves they seem to stop coming for some minutes, so I suspect theres a cooldown.
They need to make it longer so you can temporary clean an area for say 15 mins
In a game where ammunition due to materials and bag-space is a premium.
The game actively penalises you for engaging enemies but does not have a good enough stealth system to fall back on.
My general strategy to date is just to run past everything to objectives, ignoring as many of the bots as I go. Its basically a save-point jumper... where you run from save point to save point and try to not engage with anything.
The only one which hurt you is the brown one with the laser anyway, the blue ignore you if you don't attack them.
After the VDNH you're enough upgraded to just take on anything even on hardcore if you loot everything on your path
Then pull down or shot bots repairing them. And/or don't trigger alarms.
Like ... seriously.
The game is already trivial at the highest difficulty. If it was permanent that would be a boring graveyard.
Besides, you can overload those big things and the robots stay disabled for a pretty long time in their respective areas.
Also, I don't get your point about triggering alarms. Repair drones respawn regardless.
Also, NEVER trigger alarms if you don't want to be submerge that's what he means, that's really easy, you fight where they can't see you or you run until alert goes down. Then you can destroy bots, loot, destroy them again if needed / run away.
Stay out off the cameras and no problems (they need some time to see you so you can run past them if needed)
Really the only moment where it's hard is the village before taking the train (and again I fully cleaned it on hardcore with mainly crouch stealth kills), I started using guns and ammos after the hedgehog boss fight (just had a little pistol to do the brown repair bots which attack you from above)
If you still have problems after that I can't really say anything except skill issue I guess
(think about opening all doors with cameras in the area before because if you don't you'll need to wait the power to come back to use cams and open doors)
This is Insane.
