Mick Gordon Goes Woke

Shortly ago Mick Gordon released a tweet stating he donated all his fee for his work on Atomic Heart for Australian Red Cross’ "Ukraine Crisis Appeal". https://twitter.com/Mick_Gordon/status/1625495826247319556/photo/1
On the surface this looks cool, right? Supporting a NGO in favor of victims of War. Except, to my knowledge, Mick Gordon has never actively expressed any support for social causes before, in fact he only decided to be "humanitarian" NOW because he has worked for a RUSSIAN studio. Do you see the problem here?
I explain: Mick Gordon seems to want to avoid tarnishing his reputation working for a russian studio while at the same time boosting his reputation as a chad Hero. Hypocrisy at its finest, and it has been a while I am not impressed by hyprocrites! It is almost like, after the DOOM Eternal fiasco, Mick Gorgon wants a comeback for his career. So far it has been working, since responses have been very positive to him.
It's funny that, among his many complaints in his very long defense at Medium (https://t.co/zSNo2QG1mI) Mick claimed he was not paid for 11 months while working on DOOM Eternal and was not paid for half of the music present in that game. Not to mention he complained about having his reputation damaged by id Software's Marty Stratton, which meand less work, less money, closer to Poverty. And now he "selflessly" gives away his hard-worked money to Charity, as if he does not need Money at all since he is "so much rich".
It is almost like Mick Gordon is counting on receiving a fat load of Money from Zenimax Media for having defaming him back in 2020 and getting plenty of paychecks for future works at Game Industry to compensate for his financial losses with Charity.
Hence, Mick Gordon chose to go Woke.
Ultimately, I am disappointed with Mick Gordon; not just for wasting 2,5 years trying to get a deal with Bethesda Softworks instead of immediately trying to clear his name back in 2020, but for not choosing to STOP working with Mundfish Studios if he had been TRULY disgusted with Russia's actions and worried about his reputation. Do not get me wrong, I do think Mick Gordon did the right thing to continue working with Mundfish for "Atomic Heart" to the end and think it is fine to support the victims of "Russia-Ukraine War", but to make such a spectaculous public stunt with all his fee from Mundfish, and so close to the release of "Atomic Heart" (why he didn't do this during past year, before his work was completed, when he could be fired?) deeply disgusts me.
Will Mick Gordon go broke, however? It would be very delightfully ironic if Zenimax Media, petty as it is, managed to take several years to only pay for the pending payments for DOOM Eternal, and not a penny more, and AAA game companies kept refusing to hire Mick Gordon for their games.

I don't care, it's his money, he worked for it and it's going to a good cause. It could be pandering, but why is it my concern? He'll still be a talented musician that I want to listen to.

I usually try to differentiate art from artists, so I won't bash someone because of a woke decision.

"Real man" (for the wokes, at least) would be to quit working for Mundfish as soon as the War with Russia began, take the losses and donate for AU Red Cross shortly after. Mick tried to be better in that and achieve a middle-ground (notice he avoided to criticize Russia in his post) but he failed just the same, I see through his ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Maybe he didn't stop working with Mundfish because he isn't a Russophobe, it doesn't matter that they are Russians.

You can work with innocent people unrelated to the war their country began and then support the country being invaded, there is no moral inconsistency there.

No, a real man knows that the Russian people aren't at fault or the problem here. Their government and leader is. He understands that, and is using his money as he wishes, as have I.

Making donations and helping others in need doesn't make you woke.

Your logic is not incorrect as Mick can spend his money with whatever he wants, even drugs, prostitutes, OnlyFans or gambling or all of previous options, but he made sure to make a public announcement, waited until the game was almost released so he couldn't be replaced, waited a whole year of War to "support Ukraine" and made sure to donate ALL his fee (where is his RECEIPT, though?), not 30% or a fixed value, like, let's say, A$ 10000,00. So it is fair to criticize Mick Gordon for his demagogic hypocrisy.

Mick Gordon could become a politician.
