F/A-26B Easy way to change altitude besides clicking Alt+ Alt- a bunch of times?
If I want to set several WPs at a high altitude (e.g. 20k feet), it appears I have to click Alt+ so many times. I tried holding down Alt+ but that doesn't do anything. Is there an easier way to change the altitude in the NAV menu for setting a course or am I bound to get carpal tunnel syndrome by clicking the buttons a million times? I am probably missing something, so blame it on me being a bit of a newbie at flying. Thank you.

Never realised this was a thing. If I want to maintain an altitude, I set my altitude autopilot and then twist the knob between the MFDs to set my target altitude.

If you want your altitude to vary between points, I'm not sure.

Subbing to this thread in case anyone replies, since I'm interested myself.

If you're still having this problem, the easiest way I've found is to just set altitude on the NAV menu (set alt, then use the keypad and enter), GPS-S on a point you're headed toward anyway, then use the NAV autopilot towards that point, disable NAV and enable ALT autopilot once you're at about that height.

While this is a workaround for using the autopilot (and a fairly good one - another piece of advice I could give would be to switch from NAV to heading to ensure you're still travelling directly to your marker), I was under the impression that the altitude of GPS waypoints also mattered for GPS-guided missiles.

For this use-case, I'm not sure what the best approach would be as the only one I could think of was OP's carpal tunnel syndrome-inducing method.

Edit: Spaced out my text a little better, and added a note about using heading instead of disabling autopilot.

I don't know if this is experimental branch only but on the experimental branch, this works: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3284498832

Of course, now that I went to all that trouble for the F/A-26B I really want to know if it works for the other planes like that
edit: In the F-45 you just hit the button on the NAV MFD page and type on the screen. All the other craft with a UFC work just like the F/A-26B.
