VTOL VR

VTOL VR

Recommended laptop for game-play
So I currently have an hp pavilion x360 convertible 15-dq1xxx which is currently not capable of running VTOL VR so i'm looking for a gaming laptop that's capable of running VTOL VR but i'm looking for something that's gonna be less then 400 dollars. What are some laptop recommendations?

Google the requirements for VTOL VR. You just need something that can run steam/connect to headset with steam.

My ASUS gaming laptop (Strix model with a 2070?) worked well enough until it inexplicably stopped working with my Index shrug. My best guess was an update to SteamVR and it not liking the laptop having on-board video and a videocard. YMMV. Hopefully you find something that works.

I tend to shop XOTIC pc. You can build a custom system or buy one of the pre-built. As someone said before, make sure it has a dedicated video card (I went with an NVidia 3080) and haven't looked back.
Just figure out what your budget is and build one from that.

I would never recommend a laptop for VR. Not only are they terrible for heat management and will thus throttle your performance, it's also going to be more expensive than a proper desktop setup if you want something PCVR ready.

And for 400 bucks? Try 1000 minimum for a desktop
