Cant accept License User Agreement on startup

Just bought the game.
I cant press neither the accept or denied button when this prompt comes up, but the quit button in the lower right corner works fine.
Anyone able to help me here? Tried both the Oculus controllers and normal mouse, but the issue is the same.

You need to use motion controllers to place your virtual hand on the button and press the trigger to click on it in VR.
Don't try to click it with the mouse.

Use your motion controllers to enter the game from the Steam VR home.

This game requires SteamVR.
Have you installed SteamVR and can you run it normally?

Any details on this error? For example, what exactly does the error say, what exactly are you doing to get the error?

Then you need to make SteamVR work first.
All VR games on Steam need to be played in SteamVR.

it says 'There is a problem with the oculus runtime installation. Please reboot and verify the oculus software is installed and updated' everything is updated to my understandings so i don't seem to understand the issue
