How can I stop the battery from dying mid-air when the jet runs out of fuel?
If I run out of fuel, the engines stop. If the engines stop, then the battery stops charging and quickly dies. Once that dies, the controls die, too, making a landing impossible. Is there anyway to extend its life, or are you just doomed unless you can get it on the ground in less than a minute?

the key is to not run out of fuel.

You can turn off some unimportant systems to save power.
The best I've got is disabling the MFDs, RADAR, RWR, weapons, and I guess lights, but is that the best we've got to ever so slightly extend the time?

Set your BINGO fuel warning so you don't run out?

If your dangerously low:

The APU 'should' use much less fuel and still power the hydraulics and electronics. You can turn off your engines when your low and glide on APU power.

bring it to maint over and over, maybe they'll install the missing switch for the RAT in your a/c :)

A ram air turbine would be a pretty neat feature
although not really useful except for this specific use case

turn of you engines before reaching zero (and i mean just before) and run the apu instead this will give you lot's of electricity

This sounds like the best option if you know you're going to run out. APU's fuel consumption is some crazy fraction of the engines'.

seems silly to run out fuel in the first place but not for nothing in real life even with the engines off the fan blades still rotate and produce electrical power in flight, so this shouldnt even be a thing.

what do you mean the fan blades still rotate?? without the fireball in the engine to turn the turbine in the back side of the engine, its not going to rotate, even if it did, it wouldnt at a speed enough to power the generator.
