Would my computer be able to run this?
This is a really stupid question and the answer is most likely no but my specs are:

Processor AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics 3.80 GHz
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.3 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

You can use SteamVR Performance Test to check whether your system is VR Ready

This game runs on Quests so I'd assume yes.

So do I only need an oculus quest? Or do I need both a computer and vr

You need a graphics card. Not an APU. And a VR headset like a quest connected to your PC

Think youre in need of a GPU. Even a 1060 6GB would be more than enough... Remember the Quest 2 plays standalone if you dont hook it up to a PC, but if you do, then youve got the whole SteamVR library available as well. Youre 90% ready.

your computer could actually be pretty damn powerful if you got a decent graphics card, other than that you could easily run this game

Well the performance test said its not ready and I need a graphics card although the simulation looked pretty good and didn't look to go below 60

60 fps is not enough for VR.
You need at least 90 fps to run VR smoothly.

This is subjective

I used to play DCS at 45fps in VR. It was far from perfect, but playable in multiplayer and you do get used to it.
You need to get below 11 ms of frame latency to enjoy 90 frames per second.
