Other than that your pilots are taught on outdated equipment. While they use stationary cabins with huge screens Russia developed unique headset Odin VR developed specially for pilot academy.

Russian simulators? No problem, bud. Look up on DCS world - founded by the Russian Igor Tishin in 1991, based in Moscow, Russia. Still the best simulator in whole world and there was separate build specially for real SU pilots. Even gaijin studio is Russian.

A Su-27 pushing a F15C away doesn't mean anything, let's talk about budgets instead... Russia has a poor economy, most of their jets are outdated Soviet ones which were refitted.
