4 player local multiplayer?

Can i play with the boys locally? we usually grab this kind of games to play with my group of 5, usually someone always fails so we end up being 4, can this game support 4 player local like say gangbeasts? I know it said up to 8 on the store page but im assuming thats online, if it has up to 8 locally even better for us.

Not very soon. Right now there is only 2-player local multiplayer

Set up player 2 controls in the settings, go to Play>Offline Mode. Create a room and then click 2-player

I did that, but it still just put in a bot for player 2

Could we please see customizable player 2 sometime soon? I LOVE to play this game with my buddy when he comes over. This games couch player vs player would be 10/10 if he could at least just change the color of his fighter. He doesn’t like the white skinned blue color. He’s a black guy that likes yellow and red.
