Ban/Unban etc

Perhaps this is already a thing and I've just not realized yet how to use it. But one thing that would be great to add in if possible at all is a way to permanently ban people, and also unbanning people.

To do this, you could add in a list of people you've banned from your rooms. So for example, lets say you ban a guy called "Bob". You click on the ban-list icon, and it brings up a list of every person you've ever banned in your room. And on this list you can choose to either keep them banned, or unban them.

This makes it so you can unban people in that room without having to re-create it incase you banned the wrong person. But also a way to keep people banned who you do not want in your room, such as trolls, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and the likes without having to constantly keep banning them.

I also wanna add in another thing I thought of. It'd also be a great addition to add in something that makes it possible to see who is inside of a room before you enter it.

Thanks for the suggestions, the perma ban stuff you mentioned per admin is something that may come in a future update, these recent game updates have made the functionality now possible to implement.

We could even take it a step further and allow the Room Admin to enable rules like blocking anyone with x number of Mic Spamming reports against their account from entering the room. etc.

How about if a room Admin bans a person like 3 or 5 times that person is perm banned from rooms that Admin then runs/creates/Admins? As for unbanning ppl, from inside a room we'll need to be able to access a list of the names of those we have banned with an unbanned option.

that's pretty much what we saying.

The unban list only needs to be a list of recent bans cos you may have banned someone from your room by accident. A perm ban list isn't needed, or at least a separate list. cos if someone has had 3 to 5 chances to not be toxic, a repeat offender, there's really no reason you'd unban them.

I would have a hard time keeping track of all the people I ban the list would be too long

Like I said, the perm ban name list isn't really a list we'd use or maybe is needed. But a recent room ban name list is needed for when we ban someone by accident (Usually when rushed to shut someone else up).

Is the banning someone by accident still an issue, we may those changes in the last update so it's a lot easier to see who you selecting to prevent accidental bans.

The problem with un-doing a ban is the player who has the ban does not see the room anymore. So even if you undo the ban, they still don't know you unbanned them.

The only solution to that then is to make it that a banned player can still see the rooms they are banned from, and still attempt to join it again (even though they are most likely still banned). The only way they would know that they have been unbanned is to re-attempt to join the room.

2 days ago I banned a guy from my room and I repeatedly and instantly saw his name enter and leave the room. How did that happen if he can't see the room he is banned from?

If he leaves the game and comes back again then he will see the room again

I know I am joining in a bit late on this. Banning someone by accident is still an issue sometimes. Myself having gotten used to it, I don't usually do it anymore but example when you want to ban someone fast, because they're yelling racial slurrs or mic spamming, you can still ofc accidentally ban someone. And I do feel having a way to unban ppl would be great.

Plus with the unbanning, I do feel it'd be a great addition to the game just incase you accidentally ban a friend instead of someone else actually spamming or doing something against the rules of the room. :)

Yes, banning by accident is still an issue but that mostly due to human error. When you have several ppl talking at once you can't tell who it is that's being toxic and, well, sometimes you think you are banning the right person and oops!
