[MAC] Game doesnt launch

I just bought this game and was really excited to play it, but immediatly after pressing the start button the game says "running" for about 5 seconds before seemingly crashing and prompting me to start the game again. The game cannot seem to start at all. Any advice??

Have you tried running it in with Fastest setting to see if that works?

Im not too sure how to do that since the game wont launch to start with. How could I go about that?

I'm having the same issue! I use a Mac as well and today it's deciding not to launch regardless of what I do- yesterday it was running just fine

I'm having the same problem i can't start it at all and it will say running and then stop...... WTF!!

Thats strange but also good to know that its not me! I JUST bought it so I was so excited but now I am dissapointed and probably going to get a refund...

I'm investigating this now to see if it's something we've introduced in the latest version.

In the meantime you can try the previous version by running the macbuild build:

to do this, right click on the game in your steam library
- select properties
- select the BETA tab
- enter the password: applepassword
- then you should see the macbuild option show up in the dropdown
- select that and it will download the previous version

let me know if that version works for you.

ok, yeah I can confirm it works too, I'm busy taking a look into why the latest version doesn't work on mac. Unfortunately, my Mac Mini is extremely slow so it may take a while to find the issue as it takes ages just to launch the dev tools.

Ok, I've rolled out a fix, which seems to work now.
If you on the macbuild build, please change back to the default build so you can continue to get updates going forward.
