no sound no mic

ive tried everything i get the mic icon but no one can hear me and i cant hear any sound

argh i uninstalled the game and now it wont open when i reinstall!!

Don´t feel bad but, the problem is on your end of the line.
make sure you have your volume settings in order.
Make sure the game is using the mic you want it to use (You can see it in the starting screen).

Regarding your uninstall, look for remainders, as Win7/10 usually doesn´t clean everything out.
Many Programs react very allergic to that. I´ve had to reinstall my whole Steam library, after I first got my Vive... because the Vive Software rkt my Steam.

Its not always the game, that is broken.

Finally found a fix! If you are using a usb headset then that would be the problem. Steam games and USB headphones are having problems for me lately and probably for you (I own a Razer Man o' war). Just disable the usb input and let the headphone jack do all the work. (Basically if you are using a razer headset like me then the USB adapter is optional, just disable what it does in device manager and the game works like a charm!)

I tried that, but still no sound. My game detected my mic. Any other solutions? (Using Razer Kraken Pro 7.1 V2)

Yeah i have another one, this one should just work, if not its a problem with the hardware or the game. Turn off everything that has to do with razer. Not just razer synapse, but everything that has to do with razer (Via task manager). Because there is a problem currently with the surround sound thing in razer synapse, plus the usb has its own function in task manager so just end that task.

Ofcourse, you will lose some things, like for example if you have a chroma product, it will not light up in your colours but instead it will cycle through the colour spectrum as it is default. But you get to hear sound and use your mic again!


TL;DR : Just end every task that has "Razer" On it or the razer logo via Task Manager
