Mic isnt working

My microphone on every other game works perfectly and picks up my voice. But on here it doesnt pick anything up or say im talking?

i have tried option 1, 2, and 4. still doesnt work. If i uninstall razor synapse will that get rid of it? or can i still edit macros and stuff on my keyboard headset mouse etc....

I honestly don't know, not many people in the thread are saying if things are working or not.

I have the Kraken 7.1 V2, unfortunately none of the suggestions have worked, tried everything.

That being said, I appreciate the time and dedication you've taken to help us out! :)

The strange thing is I also have that same headset (I specially bought it to try see what the issue was) but it's working fine on mine and my friends PC, both with or without the Razer Synapse software installled.

Perhaps it's a newer model, or it's to do with Operating System you running etc?

I'm running Win 10 Pro Version 1703, what are you running?

Same here, doing process of elimination here, and I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it's Razer synapse. Trying it right now!

Okay, so here is what I have done so far, sorry for not being all that helpful, doing my best here lol. Attempting to narrow things down here for everyone.

-I have done every suggestion in the other forum, none have worked.

-Uninstalled Razer Synapse, no results

-Tried other mics, they work just fine. None of the other headsets were Razer, though.

Conclusion: The Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 (Wired Via USB) when plugged in, the game is aware the headset has been plugged in, but isn't picking up the microphone, even after restarting and everything, still no results.

Hopefully through this, we can go through process of elimination and figure out the main problem.

Edit: I am aware that in some instances, the headset has worked, so I'm not quite sure what sets the working ones from the non-working ones apart.



A question for those who have working Razer headsets:

-Are you using wired USB or wireless? As there is apparently multiple types, of the same name, just the different versions are wired, wireless, and bluetooth. (According to my local bestbuy... lol)

-That being said, what model of razer headset?

your microphone is controlled for most if not all steam games through steam settings.

Before launching the game, make sure your mic is plugged in and working in windows.
Next, before launching the game, go to steam, SETTINGS, click VOICE. Under VOICE, click DETECT AUDIO DEVICES.
ALso, here you can test your mic in steam, if its not working well here, it wont work well in any game.

You were probably having mic issues before this game, but most games aren't as dependent on mics as this game, and most people would just mute you rather than tell you, in other games.

I would have thought the same thing, but I tested with 5 other games earlier with both random people and friends, thanks anyway :P
