RetroWar on Linux and Mac

RetroWar is offically supported on Windows 10, but if you have a Mac you may have noticed Steam will download and play a Mac build. This is provided on a best effort basis. (It may not be up to date, and if Apple decides to break it in 6 months it could stop working.)

As of today there is also a Linux build! It should be considered a beta, which is why it is not advertised as supported in the store. But if we get enough feedback from Linux users we would like to eventually promote it to supported status.

Questions for curator listing

Will add this game to the More than 4 local multiplayer curator since it supports 16 players. • Do all game modes support 16 players? • How many gamepads does the game support? How many XInput controllers does the game support... or to put it in another way, does it use the Direct Input API instead of the XInput API for XInput controllers (like xbox360 and XBox One controllers) so you can use more than 4 them under Windows?...

RetroWar Online Beta Test

We're going to have some beta tests of the new online mode. The first one will be this Sunday.

We will be playing via Parsec, which means you don't need a PC - you can play on Mac/Linux/Raspberry Pi - and you don't need a controller - you can play with keyboard/mouse. And you don't even need to own RetroWar!

Since this is the first test there's no guarantee it will work, and if it does work we have no idea how many players it can support. That is the reason for testing! If you can't make this one, don't worry, there will be more, posted here.

In spaceship move issue

I have installed a snes ps one joypad and i'm not able to move the ship over the screen otherwise than turn left right, i have tried every key. Is the game so made?
