What are good Epic Battles for a beginner player?

Hey. I finally started seriously playing the game and I was wondering what's some of the Best Epic battles for a player to start with? I've tried Hastings a bunch, but I'm still struggling. What are some other epic Battles that are good to start with if I'm new? P.S. I have all DLC.

This is the forum for Ancients. If you are talking Medieval, Tinchebrai is a fairly straightforward affair, as is Steppes.

Ooops. Sorry. But in that case. What's a good beginner battle for ancients.

Most of the Ancients scenarios are fairly straightforward clashes in terms of initial deployments, and not having scripted special events. I think as long as you avoid the enormous cavalry scrums, or asymmetric matchups like Carrhae you should be fine. Many of them are multiplayer only.

Yes I have all the DLC in both games and played all the epic battles that came with those DLC.

On that note, can anyone recommend player-made scenarios that aren't so large? I'm looking for something historical that involves fewer units.
