Elevator crash

So after first squad assign, once when I get into elevator I get crash. I tried reinstalling or reloading checkpoint and it didnt work. What the.. ? Anyone else ?

Yeah, same happened to me. I validated the files (by right clicking the game, going to Properties, Local Files, Verify Integrity of Game Cache). One file was downloaded, and after that it worked fine.

The only thing I can think of was that I used NVIDIA GeForce Experience to set custom graphic settings, and probably one of those settings was what caused it. Maybe a PhysX toggle.

So anyway, try verifying files (which will overwrite your settings unfortunately), or just mess around with the graphics settings, like not running DX11 version or disabling PhysX.

Well I was playing all time in Dx9 to avoid lags and game looks awesome on maxed out settings in Dx9. I did verify intengrity and I switched to Dx11 and it worked fine. Later I switched back to Dx9 and so far its good. Thanks.

Had the same problem and after I disabled the PhysX options it worked fine :) Thanks for solving my problem!

I tried disabling PhysX options and runnin in Dx11 and everytime I get in that damn elevator the ****ing game crashes again, and again, and again!
I never used to get this but last night I thought I'd play after a long absence and it looks like I will not get past the elevator crash.

There are no words that can discribe the bitterness and hatred I have in my heart for this game right now!

I found to delete the config files and verify the game cache to reaquire them by download worked for me.

I want to confirm that diabling PhysX worked for me. Was crashing in both DX9 and 11 before I disabled it.

i have the same problem with the elevator, so i set the graphic in middle. after this i kill the alien and set graphic in high another time, but with Phys X disable. it works for me

As of June 23 2017, disabling the Phys X did fix the crashing.

For me, too. After disabling PhysX, game didn't crash anymore.

I had the same problem amd I'm glad to inform you that turning off, all the nvidia phisxs options makes the game work again.
