You should test to see if the controller is working within other games aswell. Even though its saying PC controller, your biggest mistake is buying a Gamestop product.
I would also visit this link, and download the controller drivers. Your computer might not be auto-installing the drivers. (Note: Look into the manual, their might be specific drivers for the controller, but all PC controllers should be running on this driver.)
