Can I play split screen with online multiplayer

Can me and my brother play on the same PC \(split screen) with other players online multiplayer or do I need to buy a separate copy for my brother?

Yes you can. Plug in a controller. You can have as many split screen players as a match supports (usually 4 but up to 6/8 in some maps). Understand it may cause severe lag if you don't have a good PC, especially if you use 3-4 players or NM oriented late waves with all the harpoons/fire/fireballs/mobs/etc.

Yes Split works Fine online. Reccomend Controller for 2nd player anything more than 2 players makes it hard to see! Any usb controller works great.

For further reference you can even had setups like 2-3 players on same PC split screen and 1+ random or whatever other players connected via online in a match. A great way to power level characters. There is also a tool for the game someone made to bring in several characters at once if you lack enough controllers so you can powerlevel up to 4 characters at once (since having multiple level 74+ characters is really important for NM difficulty traptress/aura/summoner/etc.).
