Is cheating allowed in Ranked yet?
Just wondering if its OK to mod in ranked yet, so I can beat all those super hard challenges, and get the skins and whatnot. If not I guess its just back to the grind. :heyred:

What if you have nobody to play with? Or the people who you want to play with arent playing? Whatever the scenario, people find cheating fun, and I thank TE for putting in an open mode where cheating is allowed, that said, you can't get acheivements in open mode. I am one of the people that find cheating fun, so I was just wondering if it was okay now, seeing as how DD2 is out, and I dont really care for it. When games get old, the devs usually get lax with it when it comes to cheaters and whatnot.

I see no point to cheating in anything in life if you can't do it on your own or with people legit as a team with online co-op games.

50 hours and 15 achivements, you are not even trying.

This - http://steamcommunity.com/app/363970 - might be more to your effort level. Just remember to get the autoclicker cheat which is openly advertised.
They don't care over there, it is purely a singleplayer game. Ranked DD is not, and we care.

Cheating isn't allowed on Open either. There is a huge lack of common sense nowadays. Modding as in using the games official development kit / tools is allowed; Modding as in manipulating numbers and items is called hacking and that's not allowed in any game.

The major issue I see is that people have fun to cheat. I don't get it; You are destroying your own game experience. It's fun to tell your friends; Hey, I've beaten the game by cheating.

Oh hey, a thread about hacking... with the expected, tunnel vision responses. Y'all need Floe in your life. At least that way you could justifiably say you had tunnel vision.

Ugh. Honestly, I feel like this is a troll thread, but there's still stigma that needs clearing up. Let's get the bear poking out of the way:

Common sense would imply that the knowledge is a thing that is regularly reinforced or explained early on. Neither of which is the case for Dungeon Defenders. And, yeah, I'm being serious.

Moon-jumping out of bounds is just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun.

No, you are not. There is absolutely no basis for the claim that a person cheating at a game inherently ruins their game experience. Every individual player's experience is a subjective thing, so to claim this objectively is disingenuine and reeks of the purism I mentioned in a different thread.

I don't know where you get this idea from, and you've never adequately explained it for the number of times you've claimed this on the Steam discussions.

Other people's? See below.

Well! It's easy to get confused.

Go in any map in this game the top players on the map has a score measuring over 2 billion, enough to level a character to level 100 twice. Check the leaderboard and you have to scroll to get what would be assumed is a legitimate score.

That cheating is allowed is very implied because of this. Trendy does not and has not regularly scrubbed the leaderboards in the year that I've played this game. The top player for Tavern Defense NMHC has always been an EV named "FriendshipIsStupid" with 2.1 Billion points.

You cannot have a ranked mode and then just forget to police the rankings *and* neglect to probe player's accounts for obviously hacked items and ban them.

If they would, Tydo's suspicion of quite a lot of people would be confirmed. If they did, there'd be quite a lot of angry people screaming about unjust bans.

So it goes.

All these people saying "cheating is destroying your game expirience". You don't know me. As I stated earlier, I enjoy cheating, what I left out is that I already beat this game legit before, not with all achievements, but I beat each of the regular missions on insane at least, on the xbox previous to steam.

I enjoy this game so much I bought it twice. More then twice, I bought it repeatedly for like 6 different people because I want them to enjoy it. However none of the people I played it with kept playing for more than the first three or four levels, so it shouldn't be hard to understand how I have so much time in game.

To the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that said I should play Cookie Clicker Heroes instead, first off, ♥♥♥♥ you. Second, as mentioned above, I spent alot of time trying to get other people into this game.

You people need to calm down, if someone enjoys cheating in a game as old as DD, let them do it. The game is about 4 years old. I only play in my own private games anyway, and its not like I would go for high scores or any of that ♥♥♥♥.

I forgot to mention in my last comment, if I wanted to show how awesome at the game was I would just use a steam acheivement editor to give myself all the achievements so I wouldn't have to do so manually. I just want to get the achievements so I can get the skins for the two dlc characters I have.

At this point, Trendy is not allowing modding in Ranked (Although one could be forgiven for thinking otherwise). They have also been a bit more liberal in thier use of the banhammer as of late, so if you do decide you wish to mod, be warned that there is a very real possibility of getting banned.

Thank you, so far you are the only person to even try and answer my question.

Open is anything goes, thats to relieve the stress of wanting to hack in ranked. I personally hate when kids join your games with hacked gear thinking they can force you to play unlegitimently, Just happened to my friend about a half hour ago.

Never argue ...

Why do you ask a question if you are going to dislike possible responses? If you enjoy hacking, then ... well ... do you really care what others are saying?
TwistedDude Jun 17, 2015 @ 4:13pm
Never ask questions you wont like the answer too

Cranberry Jun 17, 2015 @ 4:47pm
You must be sneaky tip toe tip toe :)
Cranberry Jun 17, 2015 @ 4:52pm
I bet if they removed private game matches bar making for the communtiy to create games with. i think this game would be a lot safer? They can only host games online an let others join in an make shops that about it. I think that would be great if they made an update for this game like that.
Cranberry Jun 17, 2015 @ 4:56pm
So everyone could see how others are playing an playing fair that way. An have like Authors check games out to see if anyones cheating now thats what i call service :) Getting your $s worth play fair an everythings legit....
