Can't Buy Pets
So I want this Tiger from my tavern named Quartz, a level 1 tiger. I've had it locked for a while and recentlly leveled up to 10. I am now level 12. (wizard/apprentice character) Anyway, I try to buy it and the "Buy Item" button is grayed out. I tried unlocking it and with other pets in the store and nothing works. How do I fix this and get the pet?

@MayBeToxic I can buy things like weapons, so no.

Fairly sure the Tiger is a Survival Reward for reaching Level 15 in the Castle Armoury on any Level of difficulty.

Have got the similar problem trying to get a Monk Animus, which can only get round by beating the Summit on Nightmare.

What might work is completing the Magus Quarter again, that might, just might drop a Tiger into the shop, but that's just a mad idea from reading the Wiki.

:choppa:

Ouch... Seems like i forgot about this thread <_<
@knutticus
I don't recall the need for unlocking the pet to buy it from shop (unlock = make it spawn in tavern shop)
Still getting the pet directly from survival is a valid opinion.

@beanycheese
locking an item in shop will disallow it to despawn after you enter another level (buy you time to gather enough mama to buy) and has nothing to do with buying it.

I will still insist on the mana remark since you have only played sub 10 hours having full inventory is unthinkable

It has been a long time for me since I started the game but I don't recall items in shop as cheap as 500 mana I might be wrong here

Maybe, he is talking about the beta branch? The new number format is weird like hell.

Played the Magus Quarter and it didn't drop a Tiger, but, played the Deeper well after that and Bingo two Pet Tigers up for sale, both expensive and neither called Quartz.

Personal view is Survival is the best option, is a decent level to play and at the end of it you'll have a Tiger. If you max it out then you can call it Quartz, and the only difference between that and the one you can't buy might be the colour.

Don't get me wrong, I think its frustrating that a locked pet can't be bought, not the least because I've a similar problem with a Monk Animus.

@asas2007 Ok, I'll keep collecting mana, and see if it let's me. The numbers are kinda weird now
