Diamond vs Tot

I started "fresh" a few weeks ago and i'm now back in the end-game. I hadn't played in years and I'm wondering which pet is the best (highest stats, etc) for builders. I haven't found a clear answer in other posts so I'm asking here :)

ToTs are easier to farm (not for me tho) but in general.. Diamonds usually spawn better than ToTs. And with washboard his build.. Faster than it used to be to farm a diamond. ToTs have a bigger speed boost I believe.
I just don't like ToTs due to their size

The extra speed you get from tot isnt needed anyway especially if you use female builder i like diamond more has way higher chance to roll good since u need 88 coal to create one and it looks better .

ToT's rarely spawn close to as good as diamonds. SPeaking from personal experience here.
I used to think ToT's were just as good as a Diamond, but they rarely spawn with the same 4x600+ stats.
Reasons you would get a ToT:
- Great stat boost in the begining
- MUCH easier to farm
- generally average about 500-600 on each stat.
- Speed boost is 45% Diamond is 41.5%
Reasons Diamonds are better:
- They spawn with much more rounded stats. Meaning, you will get High stat/Capping Diamonds, or you won't.
- They cap at 800 when upgrading.
- They don't sit at your camera, hogging the whole map view xD

I would HIGHLY reccommend going for a Diamond after you set up your Lvl100 Builders with ToT's. I got my first Diamond about 3 weeks ago, I wasn't bothered to get one before then. Now I want another. But I just recently put 600 hours into this game over about 2-3months, so the grind was never motivating.

Get a Diamond. I have a WW Build that is an Easy AFK. Its not a super Lazy build for High stat players, its a build for players with 3-4k stats and like to have a guranteed win.

I call confirmation bias! Ser, had you spawned a no cap instead of a two cap, you would be singing a different tune, haha.

I think the speed difference is negligible. The main thing is you're comparing farming MB vs. WW. MB has ToT, but also best general dps staff, best utility pets (fairy, genie, imp) and potentially fantastic ult armors as random rewards. WW has the coal, of course, and also accessories. You can just farm depending on your gear needs or just run both maps for variety. They are both relatively straight forward and useful end game maps.

The accesories never spawned well for me. I only have about 6 out of 88 that I actually equipped. 4 of which were just for the cosmetic effect(I needed my grey Diamond on a Grey Demoness with Snow falling around me :D).

I did farm for ToT's. I'm using a 2x700 2x500 on my Summoner as well as my double cap Diamond. Thats why I said "go for a Diamond after you set up your Builders with ToT's". Diamonds will always reach better stats than a ToT(unless you get lucky with a double hard-capping ToT). ToT's are great pets, but the time taken to get a fantastic one, takes about the same time to get an average Diamond.

ToT's are still the best if you don't want to farm for 8-10hours for a Diamond. But, if you have the time to farm for a diamond(or a few), I still reccommend it. I didn't farm the Diamond for the stats, I did it too commemorate my time playing DD.
