But starting again is fun too plus you get the achievements
Then upon reading about it on forums that it was literally the same just your saves would be server side and you could get achievements... I was like... wow R.I.P. 2 months playtime.
In addition to this, you will also get awesome unique and limited in quality rewards on Ranked mode if you participate in Community Events, which happen every 2 months or so. It's well worth playing on Ranked. If you are concerned about progression reset, you will get help if you ask around if you want to get till your current Open levels.
But we still had fun, I looked online to see why my achievements weren't unlocking and there I saw that you have to be on ranked.
Wish I had the very first heroes stored away in a safe place to revisit them, I kinda miss my monk and squire :)
It can be rather easy to level up to the 70's on ranked. Providing you join a hosted xp run.
NMHC (PS) tavern defence, kings game, moonbase. Popular ones for XP gain.
