does area of effect/speed have a cap?

I saw something on a dd eternity forum about capping out a towers range and speed at 4x the original ammount is this also true on the original dungeon defenders now and can anyone tell me at what stat lvl you would be hitting that cap?

There is no such tower rate(speed) / area of effect cap that I know of. However after a certain stat threshold, the law of diminishing returns kicks in. This is usually true for about 3-4k stat mark for most towers. Hero speed stat has a cap of 100 points, beyond which it doesn't increase the speed, it also has a hard-cap of 100 skill points, you can't put more than 100 points in that stat.
