Start REGEDIT.EXE
Delete: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint (If exists).

Start Preferences Arma: CWA and start game. If game was successfully started - exit game and try to establish Hot Patch again!

!!!!!!!!!!! Remember, before reinstalling game ALWAYS remove patch, start UninstallOldPatch.bat from the game folder !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I installed the game, and it still says that im using version 1.99? I uninstall the patch file with uninstalloldpatch.bat and everything dissapears.
Now everytime I try to re install it, it says that 1.96 patch already exists? Im reinstalling the game and going to try the patch again though

Ok, so I didn't choose to create the desk top icon. When I try to re-download the patches to try again it says that 1.96 is already installed. What do I do now ? Is there a way of finding the program on the computer without the desktop icon ? Please advise. Thanks.

go to folder with game (Steam Location -> \SteamApps\common\ARMA Cold War Assault\

and run FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.exe

Don't worry I go it sorted with:

I don't understand in what place a problem

To establish repeatedly patch it is necessary to delete at first through *.bat file

this is aesome, i played ofp for years ..me and friends desided to go back and play are fav rts made by KaRR... but as it is not all of use have our out dated cd's this works perfect.

you need to use the pref, and scroll to 1.96

best case is to just install and search for the game on your c drive, and make short cuts on your desk top..

also xetex ive noticed a few modified config errors when joining game .. not in cwa but resistance... 1 of them is modified config , now to be sure this is all good and right, i have addons in ofp folder and in resistance folder (addon) and they look the same so is there maybe a way im loading both of theses addons from the 2 plases ?

patch tested on the official server 1.96c and any changed files he did not show. so the problem is in the server on which you have visited.
