Cold War Assault Mouse Fiddlyness
Hello!

While playing the game, the mouse cursor is VERY wierd. For some reason, my mouse cursor somehow is 'locked' to the horizontal and vertical axes on the screen. The cursor cannot move in any other direction besides right, left, up and down. So if i need to move my mouse diagonally to the right i have to move my mouse to the right a little bit and then up a little bit and so on.

I usually never post discussions about problems that i have been having, but this odd behaviour has been really irritating and really messes up my aim ingame. I have googled many times looking for a solution but i haven't found anything that works. Any solution or suggestion is appreciated.

Useful Things:
OS: Windows 8
Mouse: Razer Deathadder*

*I tried using a much older mice to see if it got better, but there was little improvement.

Thanks in advance!

Basically press * once. you can use that to lock your aim and look around but you need to press it again to unlock.

Sorry for the long response, i lost interest on Arma for a bit, but i found a solution to my problem and i'll post a solution for anyone having the same issue.

It was the in-game sensitivity being too low. Cranking sensitivity up to maximum will make the mouse move normally but very fast. To fix this turn down the DPI of your mouse to a low number (I use 100 dpi for ACWA).

To quickly change mouse profiles (If your mouse driver supports profiles) your mouse should have a button to change it, so that you could use a normal dpi while outside the game. I believe you also can attach applications to certain profiles on some drivers, but it does not do that for me. It would be wise for you to check.

I appreciate you responding with the answer even after figuring it yourself! Helped me all these years later.
